So, I've been on a health kick recently, and the main reason so far has been that I really want to get my skin to be really smooth and soft. I have a condition called a-topic dermatitis, which, from what I understand, basically means that not only do you have really dry skin, but if that dry skin is not taken care of, you can get infections that can be pretty nasty. It's not something that I have had many problems with lately, but occasionally I will still have a break-out, and it lowers my self-confidence greatly.
A good way to avoid this, of course, is to not only apply moisturizer on a regular basis, but it is also important to drink plenty of water. Until now, I have been very bad to my skin. I drink a lot of pop, don't really drink water, and although I do occasionally apply a body moisturizer, it certainly isn't enough.
Three days ago, however, I decided to really start taking care of this, and started drinking a lot of water. A lot. I also cut out the pop, and I have to say, I am already feeling the positive effects from it. Today, I noticed that my skin was actually soft for the first time in an incredibly long time, and it almost felt like I was wearing lotion the entire day. I cannot stress enough how important it is to drink water. It just balances your body out, so that your skin is hydrated, and washes your body out, keeping your insides nice and healthy, too. Not to mention, I feel more energetic now than I did from caffeine.
