I recently purchased a Remington 1" Ceramic Pearl-Infused straightener, after my old straightener broke, and thought that a review of the product might be a relevant topic for a beauty blog. I admit that I had been looking at some of the other Remington Ceramic Pearl-Infused products, including the curling wand, 2" straightener, and clip setter set. What originally drew me to the product was its appearance. My eyes seem to be attracted to the baby pink of the plates, and when that color is paired with black, I think it looks so stylish and chic.
I decided on the 1" straightener, simply because I felt that I could do more with it than I could with the other products, whether I wanted it straight, in waves (including s-waves, like Peggy Carter, which I will be posting about soon!), or even actual curls. That way, if I liked it, I would have the option of getting more products from this line, and if I didn't, then I could still get a fair amount of use from it.
My initial experience with this straightener has been a good one. It heats up very quickly, and will automatically turn off if left on too long. Both of these features are very important to me, because first, I am not usually a fan of getting up in the morning, and so if I'm going to style my hair using heat, I need it to go as fast as possible. That's where the fast start-up time comes in handy. Second, I am a bit forgetful, and I've noticed with different straighteners and curlers that I've had in the past, I often forget to turn them off. This, of course, is a very dangerous habit, so the automatic turn-off is a good feature.
It straightens my hair very quickly, and also keeps my hair from frizzing up. As a person that struggles with frizziness, I cannot begin to tell you how great that is. I also appreciate the ease as to specifying the temperature of the straightener, and the LCD display. The display even tells you what thickness of hair a specific temperature would be best for. Overall, I really like it, and at $34.88, it's really an affordable straightener with a 4-year warranty. I will certainly be thinking of trying other products from this line.
